At the Collaboratory we recognize that “all Heresy all the time” is not going to get the job done. That is why we are launching our InYESovation movement… finding the YES in Innovation.
InYESovation is where Dayton’s ideas come to life. It’s a place where every “what if?” becomes a “why not?” and where our community comes together to make things happen.
What is your vision for what you want to see different in the region AND are willing to work toward realizing. We don’t have much money, but we do have a lot of social capital, a global network of relationships, experience moving ideas to action and we love to collaborate.
So what’s Your Big Idea for Dayton? The time is now to create our shared future and join The YES Movement.
Leading by example at The Collaboratory
Part community research and development lab, part social enterprise incubator and part community convener, The Collaboratory is where Dayton's dreamers and doers gather to move innovative ideas to transformative action. We are committed to “Unleashing Dayton’s Potential.”
Since January 1, 2009, The Collaboratory, led by founder Peter Benkendorf, has been a catalyst for collaborative civic innovation in Dayton. Starting with bringing Blue Sky Project from Chicago to organizing the 2009 Ten Living Cities Symposium in response to the 2008 Forbes Ten Fastest Dying Cities List. Over the past 15.5 years, The Collaboratory has hosted hundreds of community conversations, connected thousands of people and created, co-created or supported more than 100 community initiatives, including:
